Conceiving a girlIn our final instalment of our series on natural methods to help choose the gender of your baby, we take a brief look at how the timing of intercourse can affect the gender of your child.

Alicia Pennington, former midwife and gender planning guru, has written the ultimate guide to employing natural methods to choose the gender of your baby. In Prince or Princess? Choosing your baby’s gender before conception, Pennington reveals that there is a lot to be learnt about how your ovulation cycle can impact your baby’s gender:

“Each month, there is a window of fertility that is around five days long. Three days prior to ovulation to one day following ovulation are the ideal times to conceive. Bear in mind, the egg only has 24 hours of viability, and that sperm can live for up to five days in the reproductive tract. Each woman is different however, but this is the widely accepted “window of fertility” that occurs every month.”

So because of the differences between the X and Y sperm as outlined on our previous post Conceiving a Girl By Sexual Position, timing intercourse is absolutely vital.

“ For those seeking to have a little boy, you need to time intercourse on the day that you ovulate. The Y sperm won’t live much longer than that 24 hour period that the egg is viable and you need to give them that chance to meet the egg before they expire.”

“To conceive a girl, intercourse should be timed to two to three days prior to ovulation. During this time, the Y sperm will have died out, leaving the slower but longer lasting X sperm behind. This really heightens the chances that you’ll have a girl.”

Over at her website planmybaby.com, Alicia Pennington has built a huge portfolio of hundreds of happy couples who have successfully used her methods to achieve the results they want. Now the manual of choice for gynaecologists and family planning clinics the world over, Prince or Princess? has quickly risen to the top of the gender planning field and it’s popularity looks set to continue.

Now a full-time gender selection consultant, the ever-modest Alicia  is quick to point out whilst her methods cannot always be 100% effective, she is proud of the fact that in the last year 112 of her patients conceived the baby gender of their choice.

“My career as a midwife was fulfilling as I was able to lend support and share the joy of each couple after the birth of their baby. And now I feel delighted, knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of mothers and families, but helping them choose the gender of their babies.”

Alicia Pennington – Prince or Princess?

Choose Gender of Baby by sexual positionAn often overlooked way to help choose the gender of your baby is by selecting the correct sexual position that optimises to one gender or another. Baby gender planning expert, Alicia Pennington, goes into further detail in her top-selling ebook, Prince or Princess? The Steps Towards Choosing Your Baby’s Gender Prior to Conception:

“The two kinds of gender selection chromosomes are very different in the way they function. The sperm with the male Y chromosome are very quick and have the capability to travel to the egg very quickly. However they don’t live very long and wont complete the journey to the egg if the distance is too far. On the other hand, the sperm with the female X chromosome can live much longer but are bigger and slower.”

Because of the differences between the two types of sperm, this directly correlates to the type of sexual positions you should use. In Prince or Princess?, Pennington makes these suggestions:

“To conceive a boy, because of the relatively short lifespan of the Y sperm, deep penetration is paramount. Positions where the woman is on top and astride the man allows for this to occur and the woman should allow the man as deeply inside her as possible. The important thing to remember is that the deeper the penetration at the moment of orgasm, the more likely you are to have a boy.”

“For those wanting a girl, shallow penetration is the best path to success. The X sperm are much longer lasting and can survive after the Y sperm have died off. The missionary position, spooning and the lotus are all ways to achieve shallow penetration and these increase the likelihood of conceiving a girl.”

One of the major reasons for the success of Alicia Pennington’s book, is all the gender planning methods are 100% natural and completely avoid the need for any drugs or genetic treatment.

“My methods have been found through hard work and careful research” states Pennington. “The Prince or Princess Guide is about ensuring your safety for you and for your baby, without doctor’s consultation fees that can cost you thousands of dollars.”

With everything in the book backed up by logical scientific explanation, it’s little wonder as to why the guide has become such a world-wide phenomenon. Coupled with the fact that Alicia Pennington claims her methods have a whopping 94% success rate, it really seems a legitimate argument that natural over genetic methods are the best when it comes to choosing the gender of your baby.

Choose Gender Of Baby Eating Right FoodChoosing the gender of your baby does not have to include expensive and controversial genetic treatment, as it is now recognised that there are a number of natural methods that can determine the gender of your child.

According to former midwife turned gender planning expert, Alicia Pennington, there are a wide variety of methods you can put into practise immediately to choose the gender of your baby. “So many people come to me asking ‘how can i choose the gender of my baby?’ Of course i say the important thing is that your child is healthy and happy, however the food you eat, your sexual positions and the timing of intercourse all have an important role in determining the gender of your baby.”

Pennington’s bestselling e-book, ‘Prince or Princess?’ has proven incredibly popular with couples desperate to have a baby boy or girl in order to complete their perfect family and the guide highlights some delightfully simple gender planning methods that are easily intergrated into a normal routine. Having spent the vast majority of her adult life researcing natural gender planning techniques, Alicia Pennington has become something of an authority on the subject.

“If you want to have a boy, for example, a diet rich in foods containing sodium and potassium is essential. The perfect food for this is a banana. Sweet corn, red meat and peaches are also recommended.. On the otherhand, for conceiving a girl, focus on foods containing calcium and magnesium. Broccoli, apples, fish and dairy products are all good sources for this.”

Consuming the correct food is an excellent way of  creating the right PH balance in a woman’s body and Pennington is keen for parents choosing the gender of their child to be aware of the reasons behind this. “The sperm carrying X (female) and Y (male) chromosomes travel at different speeds and react differently to varying conditions, so the diet that you choose really can have an impact on establishing your baby’s gender.”

After 12 years as a midwife, it was one encounter with a woman who suffered severely with post-natal depression over the birth of her third daughter that affected Pennington emotionally: “That was the turning point of my career. I did my best to console and gave her words of encouragement but even I could not change the fact that she felt incomplete without a son even though she loved her 3 daughters dearly. I didn’t want this to happen to any mothers in future and this motivated me to find out about perfecting baby gender selection methods.”

Having sold over 9,000 copies already, Alicia Pennington’s Prince or Princess Guide brings together all the natural gender planning methods together in one place in an easy-to-read format. And with no current competition, it looks set to be successfully helping couples with their gender planning well into the future!
